On October 14th, 2004 a local soldier was killed when an explosive devise went off near his convoy vehicle in Iraq.
The war becomes more real when someone from your hometown is killed. Our mom took us to attend the memorial service for the soldier and there with over 200 friends and family we paid our respect for our local fallen hero.
We decided to honor all of the fallen heroes who gallantly gave their lives to keep us safe and free. We want to be able to comfort the families who have lost a loved one. We want to honor the soldiers so they know they did not die in vain. |
